5 Top Tips For Overachieving

personal growth
We believe there is a shift and a split happening with society. It can be thought of as the ‘underachievers’ vs ‘overachievers’. If you’re reading this you’re likely to be an overachiever or be heading towards that way.

I bet you know people who overachieve and I bet you know people who underachieve. The key is to start hanging around with the overachievers, you’ll stand a greater chance of overachieving.

Overachievers realise the importance of a steady personal growth routine – they never stop investing time and money in their own personal growth. They do it for themselves and the people around them.

Here are our top tips to overachieve:

Goal Setting

Every single morning, take a few minutes to write out your goals in the present tense. Your subconscious mind won’t know the difference between what is real and what is not and these goals will become deeply powerful to you.

Goals, targets will stimulate your mind like nothing else. Make your goals big and bright. Think about them and start devising a plan for your biggest goals. Want to help global poverty or stop climate change? You can do it.

Planning and Organising

By taking a few minutes at the end of the day to plan your next day ahead can help you get the most out of it. Keep organised and make sure you are staying on top of your goals and moving towards them. If you are not doing anything, you are going backwards – keep going forwards.

Prioritise

It is important to label tasks that are not as important as another. Learning interview skills for your interview next week is much more important than booking a holiday. Prioritise and make sure you are getting the most important tasks done first.

Exercise and Proper Nutrition

Have you ever been really fit? Were you aware of how good you felt during the day and how well your brain worked? Being fit, eating well are key to a happy and well balanced life. Running is free and it’s possible to eat fairly well even on a student budget.

Learning and Growth

Even when you aren’t at university you still need to grow and learn. By learning another language, watching a TED video each day or working on a volunteering project you are showing to employers how unique you are.

Make time for the important people in your life. Relationships really are everything. Make time for building your relationships every day. You are nothing without them.
