Sign up to Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrison’s, Waitrose and Asda to all if you think you will use them, especially if local or just to take advantage on their discounts and free delivery offers for first time online customers. You can get £12.00 off the price of your shopping at Sainsbury’s, sign up to Waitrose and they will send you vouchers for £7.00 off a shop in store. Usually this does require a minimum spend but it’s all worth it to get that little bit more. Get their club cards to collect points and receive offers by post or in store, these can be best spent elsewhere to make the most of them.

If you were not already aware then try not to shop in the ‘Local’ shops as these are more expensive than their out of town stores and if it’s the case that the out of town stores are too far then it’s the ideal excuse to get your food delivered.

Join Boots and get a Boots card, they will then send you vouchers for brands which will give you points onto your card. Make sure whenever you go in store to find their point’s booster machine, put your card in and see what extra discounts and points you can get in store on that day. There are quite often deals whereby you spend over £25, £35, £45 and get an additional amount of points. It’s best to save up your shopping list and get everything in one go to make the best of their deals.

It is possible to use many vouchers at the same time so keep trying, give all your relevant vouchers to the lady at the till and see what you get back, it has been known on many occasions to get £15.00 or more in points.

Don’t buy a Kindle, well do if you like reading all the classics which you can download for free from Amazon but instead think about joining your library to download books for free onto your computer, iPod, MP3.You are allowed to download up to date, current books such as One Day by Paul Nicholls and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest. This is not good for Kindle as it will not allow you to download but it seems other brands such as the Nook will allow.

Getting Fit

Sign up to your local Everyone Active gym, even if you don’t join they will send you free passes, sometimes only one day, others can be one week of free access to all their classes and to the pool.

In fact enquire about joining any gym local to you and you will be usually given and free pass to trial the clubs facilities. Fitness First, Virgin Gyms, David Lloyd, Everyone Active, Nuffiled Health etc. Look out on the covers of magazines, even wedding magazines as these have been known to give a free seven day pass to one of the top gym brands.
