A little about Steve Burford (the man behind the site)...

Founded by award winning entrepreneur, Steve Burford in 2008 - the site has grown in ambition and numbers since then.

Born in 1983, as a Gen Y'er (though he didn't know it at the time), Steve was always interested in business. Whether it be buying and selling at car boot sales or washing cars at age 11, he was always looking a way to work for himself.

After various ventures in business, 2008 saw the birth of Wealthystudent.co.uk and also saw the birth of his popular book, Defeat Student Debt. The book is all about having a good time at university, but doing it whilst putting money in the bank - hence, defeating student debt.

In 2009 he was invited into The Courvoisier Future 500 for rising stars in the UK, as well as Striding Out's Future 100. He was won Men's Health Magazine NOMAD (no office, mobile and driven) Entrepreneur of the Year - which he was extremely proud of.

Now he is setting his sights on helping every student who wants to get a job quickly after university and sort their finances, once and for all. It's a mission that is garnishing attention, we have been featured on the BBC, national and business press. We are aiming for much more, though.
