About Us
Our mission statement
To help students get through university with as minimal amount of debt as possible. We also want to help students be ready for life after university.
The story
Steve Burford (Southampton Solent University graduate) managed to save quite a bit of money whilst at university. During his first and second years at university he was putting away at least £400 a month into a savings account. By the end of his second year he had £10,000 pounds saved up.
He has now used the money to launch the site in April 2008 and it has come a long way since. His dream is to develop this site so that it can benefit every student in the country.
The site has been backed by the government and Solent universities 'SPEED' project and we've published a book which you can get for free when you join up.
Just 6 months in, we've had over 100,000 students visit the site and we now have plans to develop the site that every student will benefit from.
